On 22nd October 2019, joint project workshop was held at Loughborough University. More than 20 researchers from 7 institutions attended the workshop.
The workshop includes four invited talks:
Dr Dong Chen (Glasgow Caledonian University): Control and operation of a DCdistribution network
Dr Matthew Little (Loughborough University): Experience with a stand-alone DC microgrid demonstration system at West Beacon Farm
Mr. Navid Bayati (Aalborg University): Localized fault detection and location of DC microgrids
Dr Bing Ji (University of Leicester): Reliable power Electronics
Four project presentations from project students were given after an open discussion session for the topic “why DC?”. A training session on “how to write journal papers” was given by Dr Bing Ji of University of Leicester, who is the Editorial Coordinator & Editor of IET power electronics.
